I have only used it once so far , The time it held up to 12 gauge hits at 12 feet. It had no problem with 380 hits at a similar distance.

I used the targets that came with it on the box. I also used decal targets to get more use out of the cardboard.The metal clips provided also worked well to secure the target.

I was afraid it would tip over. I bought long metal tent stakes, there are holes in the base for them to go in. I hammered them in easily though not completely. Perhaps this kept it from falling over on impacts.

The metal is very sturdy. I gave it 4 out of 5 since I felt it needed the stakes to stabilize though it did not want to try it without them.

I would recommend the device so far for backyard practice.
